Learning Care Group/ Childtime Learning Center TREATED ME LIKE TRASH, TREATED THE CHILDREN BADLY, ONLY THE RIGHT ONES GOT THE BEST TREATMENT, THIS DIRECTOR YELLS AT ALMOST ALL HER PEOPLE AND SHE TRYS TO PUSH EVERYON AROUND SHE IS MEAN NOT ONLY TO THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THEIR BUT TO THE CHILDREN ALSO. Let me began at the beginning, right after I went to work there about three teachers quit and things were a little crazy. We all had to pull together to make things work and we did or so I felt we did. One day I was walking past one classroom where (2 of the younger teacher) Caitlin and Dyana were sitting with some of the children for a nap and they were just waking up. As I was walking by a few of the children were waking up and one of the children had an accident in his sleep. Both Caitlin and Dyana and the other children were laughing at this child because he had wet himself and everyone thought it was funny. I got upset and I told them as teachers they should not be doing that and I went and got the child some dry clothes and they stopped but that was the beginning of the nightmare. After that (The Director) Felicia told me not to ever say anything to one of her teachers in front of the children again. She told me a lot of nasty things that day about how Caitlin was so much better then I, and how she knew so much more about what went on around there than I did. In the end I was apologizing, because I felt I should have just gone to Felicia and maybe she would have done something. But when I saw that child crying and the other children laughing and two grown people, that were supposed to be THEIR TEACHERS, laughing I just could not take it.

I did not yell I did not act rude, when I said what I did but I was firm. And now I know better, Felicia would not have done anything, because after I told her about everyone laughing at the child all she said to me was, that happens all the time and no one cares. I told her it should not happen all the time, but she just acted like I was not there and she was not hearing me at all.

After that things just got worse. (The Supervisor) Kim knows what happened next and how Felicia treated me so badly and how she talked to me like I a dog, she does that a lot and not just to me she has never tried to let me do the job I was hired for. Kim and the HR. Dept. have told her to teach me the Assistant job but as of 4/22/07 I cant get into the computer I know nothing of what is going on around there. After the big blow up when Kim come over, Felicia had me cleaning out the three big closets and I had just had a Death in my family and I just could not fight with her at the time.

I never know what my hours are, all I know; I come in at 7:00 am and do what ever Felicia wants me to do. And there is something new almost everyday. Right now I go in and try to check out the building and make sure all the teachers have what they need for the day, plus clean the bathrooms and anything else that they did not do the night before. Now she keeps adding more each week to what I am to do. Starting last week the week of 4/16/07 I now do a morning bus run also. After that I am on bus run at 10:30 and another @11:00 and another @ 2:30 when Im not on bus run Im doing what ever needs to be done as a teacher not an assistant. But as it is Im not there a much I go a lot and when I am Im working I am always doing something. And I like it that way I would rather be working than sitting. But in the office Im not Im doing anything but that. In the morning Im trying my best to keep up the face to name papers because not ever one has it down yet and we have a lot of children in the morning.

But last week we had a teacher out and I took her class in the morning, I really did not mind but I never knew what was going on. The first day Felicia said just do what ever and she would deal with it when she came in. This room is the four year old room with about 18 kids in the end so I took the class. No one ever came and told me anything I never knew when Felicia came in or anyone came in or if anyone was doing the bus runs in the AM or anything because no one bothered to tell me anything until after lunch.

I sit back there and felt like Im not doing my job when its not me but Felicia who is trying to make me feel this way. And I am tried of feeling this way very tired, I come home angry and hurt and take it out on my family, Im not doing that anymore.

I have asked for a transfer but the only one that was open was in Sugarland and I cant afford to drive that far.

Now there are other things that I need to say that make it to where I can no longer work at this Child Time Center with Felicia and Caitlin. First off let me say that one the main things that bothers me is the time clock, I do my best and I keep up with my time each day on paper. But as we both know Felicia and Caitlin both can go in there and change it at anytime. And they do. It is not only mine but I am almost always off somehow or another according to her or my paycheck, my paycheck is never right. I work hard every week to get at least my 40 hours and most of the time she cuts me short, I have said something before and all she wants to do is argue with me and when we have a disagreement it goes like this; (Felicia) I am talking to you, stop talking and listen to so I never get to talk anyway. So I stopped trying to get my point across, it does no good. But if you check you records there will be certain people that always get 40 hours or more and they dont even come in before 11:30 am. Then if you complain about anything she starts cutting your hours (instead of 40 Ill get 36) and if she does this enough it can hurt. Because I work long hours at the beginning of the week and then she will have me take a 2 hours lunch for a few days or something like that and then she will send me home early at the end of the week. I dont know about the rest of the world but I but went to work because I needed the money. And playing games with my life is so childish and of very poor work behavior. But as I said before Im not the only one, the others have tried to at one time or another say something but they always back up because they need the job so badly. Yes I need the job but not to the point that I will give up everything I believe in.

Ive worked so very hard to get to where I am now, it was not easy going back to school after 30 years and getting all my education, just so someone could come in and take out their aggravation on each and everyday. Please dont take this all wrong I do understand that Felicia was my boss and yes I did have to put up with something but nobody could put up with day in and day of this. I am a hard worker and I will do it all if need be what ever needs to be done, just as long as Im not the only one dong it.

These things can almost be illegal:
Then there is the child who had lice and we found out about it and Felicia said she was going to post a letter. Well (The Cook) Tracey and I both did our hair and no letter was posted, then another child came down with lice and I dont know about anyone else but I had to redo my hair and my house and my sons house and my grand daughters and so on. And as far as I know there is still nothing posted and so more children will still have it and I dont know where this will stop.

Then there is the case of the child who came down with the chicken pox and that was never posted. I dont know if any more children got sick with chicken pox but that is something that needs to be posted right away and it never was.

I ask Felicia about these things and she always made a joke about it, but if she ever posted anything I never saw it and if I couldnt see it then the parents couldnt see it.

I had talk to Felicia about leaving before and she told me that she did not want to hire from outside of her center but was made to do so, and she had really not given me a chance because of that. I ask her if we could just start over and if she would give me a fair chance. She said she would but that was just another un-truth because I have never been given a fair chance at all at this center. So the new people coming over there from the La Petite need to know to never step on Caitlins toes or they will have a fight on your hands.

I always do what is asked of me, I never say, thats not my job as far as I am concerned my job is a little of everything. But the only thing is Ive only been allowed to work in the classroom and drive the bus. Caitlin hands out the checks when they come she does the billing, the deposits, the time for the day and so on. There are three people with keys to the building and I am not one of them.

I know there is nothing that I cant do, with proper training; my husband and I ran our own business for 30 years. I already know most of it just a little different computer program, But if youre never shown how you can do anything.

Then the complete end came Friday; I was off work with my daughter it was a family thing. And some young girl that I do not know and as far as I know no one at work knows her came looking for me. She was from my daughters job, and I dont know why Felicia felt she had to tell Caitlin about why I was not there but she did and Caitlin told this girl all about it and she went back to my daughters job and told them all kinds of things.

Now my daughter has lost her job due to this and I am not just upset I am on fire; to think that just to be hateful to me Caitlin and Felicia had to do this to my child and Caitlin does not do anything unless Felicia says it is all right, so Felicia was behind this 100% in my view. I will never understand why people like to hurt other people just for the fun of it, I did say a pray for them both in church because they must be really unhappy people

Also Felicia has been known to change employees addresses so that when people leave or quit they have trouble getting their last paycheck. I noticed when I thought of leaving and voice my concerns to Felicia the address of my check changed to a place I no nothing about. It has been changed back but I suspect my last check will have a strange address and I will have trouble getting it or it will take two months. Please make this stop!

PLEASE READ
I know I can be an asset to this company. I worked hard to get the education I have to do a job that I love to do, and no matter what anyone says I am good at what I do. I learn fast but after working in this center with these people and seeing how they treat the children and how manipulative and downright hateful they are has made me rethink everything and I may just get out altogether.

I went in gave my 2 weeks notice and Felicia told me to leave; I told her I did not appreciate what they had done on Friday. And she told me if I had been a better mother then my daughter would be better. This is the kind of person she is but she needs to think about the things her own children say to her and then rethink that statement.

Anyway my feelings are hurt Kim is no longer returning my calls, which only tell me that this letter will more then likely do no good either. But I hope you will at least look into some of the things. If for no other reason then the CHILDREN at the center and the good Teachers that are still there.

One more thing there was an HAAEYC conference that I attended for Childtime and Kim oked it and Felicia never set it up so at the last minute she ask me to do it. I did but they wanted payment on line, I paid with my credit card $65.00 she has the receipt and Felicia said she would send the check back and get it redone in my name. Yesterday she told me she did not know what I was talking about.

I have waited long enough, and I WILL ASK NO MORE!!
There is action that can and will be taken.

Trust me I know for a fact that if you call licensing on many of the incidents they will come and investigate, they have too. Your boss can not hide from licensing and they will get them. They check for violations on blue cards, they will investigate the rooms, and they will fine them steeply. As far as the issues you had with hours or unfair treatment childtime has an 1 800 number you can call to complain. You also should not have signed your printout of your time card and disputed it. They would have to prove if you were there and they can do that when you sign in and out of a classroom. Also, you could have called the corporate office or your DM. You would have been taken care of. Lastly, the credit card charge, all you have to do is contact corporate 18002479000 and get a reciept from your credit card and they will refund you. Good luck!

I don't know who runs these daycares, but you need to report these people to the proper authorities... they are purposely allowing children to get sick and need to be shut down. I would call Child Protective Services and see who you need to contact to get these people out of business. If you do nothing to help these children and know something is wrong, then you are just as much at fault as the people doing this. I would also call the mother of the child that had an accident who got laughed at. She needs to file a suit against this place for her child.
