Leason Ellis LP Marty Schwimmer Leason Ellis does not honor their Agreements and they fraudulently bill their clients White Plains New York

Partner Marty Schwimmer of Leason Ellis LP entered into a written agreement to represent our small business in an IP litigation matter for a flat monthly payment.  Our company made every monthly payment on time. Mr. Schwimmer lost our case on appeal and then disregarded our agreement and doubled our monthly payment.  Despite this illegal action, our company continued to make the doubled monthly payment as we recognized it would be disadvantegous to our business to find new counsel given the extensive case history in our litigation matter.

Our business then encountered financial strain due to an expansion that did not ultimately prove viable.  Schwimmer then withdrew from representation and threatened to file a claim against our company.  We had to seek new counsel in the middle of our litigation and Schwimmer offerred no assistance in finding a replacement eventhough he is an IP lawyer.

We were able to obtain an email from Schwimmer that acknowledges he was fraudulently billing our company for his legal work. We had to hire another lawyer to fight Leason Ellis on these billing charges. Eventually we settled with Leason Ellis for a reduced amount of legal fees.

My recommendation to anyone out there is to not utilize Leason Ellis. Would you want to do business with a law firm that does not honor their own Agreements?? 

Also Schwimmer is rude and unprofessional, he made several insults to my Christian faith during his representation.  He truly is a distributed individual.

I believe that the firm also fabricated their Google comments to appear more professional.
