Lee was the photographer for my wedding on 12/7/10. Prior to the wedding date, Lee and I talked and emailed to discuss the details of the wedding. In those conversations and emails, I told Lee that I needed his services for an hour for our sunset wedding. I told him that I wanted a disc of all the pictures taken so I can print them and possibly create an album. We agreed to the price of $300 and I thought everything was good. On December 7th, 2010, Lee did show up on time. He did take pictures for an hour and maybe more. However, after the wedding my wife and I were so excited to just have gotten married and we were leaving to a celebration on the other end of the island soon. Lee was also leaving because he said he had another event to take pictures for and he wanted to get started editing the pictures. By this time it was dark outside, because our wedding was at sunset. Just before leaving, Lee gave me a contract to sign and told me it was the same information that we initially agreed to. As I said, it was dark, I was excited after just getting married and he was rushing me so he could leave for his next event. I skimmed over it as quick as possible and everything looked in order. The next day, I thought about the agreement and wanted to look at it with fresh eyes. When I did read it thoroughly, I saw that he wanted to use my pictures for promotional purposes. In our prior dealings, I never agreed to that. Also, the wording of the agreement said that he would give me proof pictures on disc but it did not say what a "proof" was. I called him to find out what a "proof" was. He told me that the images would be smaller but I would be able to print a 5x7 picture from them. I told him that I never agreed to that. I said that I wanted all the pictures high resolution. We went back and forth over the phone and I told him that if he wants to cheat me, he will be dealing with me later.
He gave me the disc on the same day. ALL of the pictures were in the lowest resolution possible. They were ALL about 180kb, which is the same resolution that most camera phones have. The resolution is so small that I cannot print a 3x5 picture without it being distorted. I told him that I wanted to use the CD to print pictures. He told me that I could print up to a 5x7 picture using the images he was going to give me. That was definitely not the case.
Also, EVERY picture has his name, phone number, email address and website address on them. That is also not what we agreed to.
I called and emailed him every day since 12/8/10 (the day that he gave me the disc) and he has not responded to me.
