I went and purchased a 2002 Cevy Blazer in Sept. of 2011. Because of my credit status I wasn't able to get a low interest loan and was directed to the Express financing through Maine Auto Credit. The dealer explained to me that my interest was higher because the loan was for 3 years. Once the paper work was signed and Maine Auto contacted me to verify everything, I found out that I had a loan for 5 years!!!! I was livid! I went to the salesman and tried to fight it, but, they would not budge! I was fooled!! The day after I brought it home, I noticed the transmission wasn't right. I had my husband look at it and he said that there was no transmission fluid in it! We refilled the fluid and shortly after that, we found out it leaked around the driver's side window, the door hinges on both sides were rusted and loose. We brought it in to be serviced a week later (they claimed that they were booked!) They gave me a small sedan to borrow for 3 days while they "fixed" my complaints. I loved the car they lent me and when I had to return it, I asked if I could change from the Blazer to the car. They told me my "14 days were expired!" This was on the 15th day! So, I went and got into the Blazer and drove it back home.

3 weeks later, the same stuff happened again!! I called to get it serviced and they told me that I had to pay $200 deductible for the warranty! I made numerous calls to Maine Auto Credit to lower my payments because I live on SSI/Disability and cannot afford the high payments, they wouldn't budge! Just this week, I received a medical bill that is in the 1,000's that has to be paid or I will end up in court. I called Maine Auto Credit to see if I could get an extension for one month and they all but refused to even try. I am so angry, disappointed, frustrated and disgusted with the attitudes of these companies and will never recommend them to anyone and I will never get another car from them!

That stinks about your experience, try this out. Report them to the BBB, see if they can help with your complaint. Second, look at all your loan documents if there is anything in there about a 3 year loan take them directly to court. Finally, it may be worth it to voluntarily surrender the vehicle. Often we do not read the fine print in our contracts and that is where they get us.
