All I did was request information on soundproof windows, and the vendor refused to give any info and tried to require a $375 consultation. Emails thread below... Read from the bottom up...
I'd be very cautious about buying from anyone who won't even give details on his product for free...

I think I've decided to move forward on noise control windows just need to decide which ones.
Do you have any literature on your windows? Sound control graphs? What thicknesses do you have? How much sill space do you need for a flush-mount installation? Can I sent in measurements for a quote? Any pictures?

Yes, we have the same thing, but we also have DH. Ours is about 10-33% less.
Do you have sizes and do you plan to do the work yourself? We do evaluation on noise control windows and do final measurements and install, too. We charge a fee of $200 for this detailed service which gets into how we install the windows for max benefit...optimization, no regrets. Where is your property?

Hello, Im Lee Brenner, owner of Bay Area Noise Control. Here is my rebuttal:
1. Let me make it very clear: there was no rip off. Nor does the complainer assert such. There was no exchange of money, goods, or services.
2. The complainer does not give a full account of our email exchange, and is therefore untruthful. What he omits is this: the email in which I explain that the window itself is only half the issue. The other half is how the window is installed. Despite my best efforts, the complainer failed to comprehend this.
Anyone can see, even in the complaint as edited by the complainer to skew opinion is his favor, that I did take time and effort to answer his questions, and to explain the complexity of the issue he was facing. I cannot provide a simple answer when no such answer exists, in this case.
I have many satisfied customers who appreciate the real-world experience that I have accumulated over two decades in the soundproofing field. They appreciate that I take the time to fully explain their options and solutions to noise problems that affect their lives. 3. I was unfamiliar with RipoffReport.com until this false complaint, and I must say that, from what I have seen, this website seems highly dubious.
