There are reports all over the web about this guy and for good reason.  Here is how his best known scam works.  He represents himself initially as a leasing company, sometimes a leasing broker and works with you, the client, to get your purchase financed.  At the same time he is working with your vendor, advising them that he has you financed and promising that payment for whatever you purchased will be transferred as soon as the transaction closes.  You then get the good news that you are good to go, you find that he has passed your lease off to another entity (often broken up between multiple leasing entities) and you sign and execute your lease. with those companies obligating you to pay the lease payments on the product you purchased...or so you thought.

Lee is very good at staying in touch initially with the company you made your purchase from, telling them essentially the check is in the mail for the product you purchased which you are now making lease payments on.  Wo while there are no red flags early on, pretty soon you get a call from your vendor telling you that they have never received your money, you still owe the money and your account is past due, soon to be turned to legal.

But wait, you are making payments, right?  Yes, just not to the company that you actually owe the money to...they have never been paid on your behalf.  And Lee Goff has never signed anything, has been very careful all along to ensure that he is not a responsible party, has not assumed any obligation on your behalf and there you are...legally obligated to make lease payments to a leasing company (your contract is with them, not Lee Goff) and you still are obligated to pay for the purchase from your vendor. (your obligation to them is still intact, it has not shifted to Lee Goff as he has signed or executed nothing)

What awaits you is a nightmare, at best a very costly legal battle, the charming and ever polite Lee Goff suddenly not returning your calls and the realization that you have been taken...usually for a lot of money.  You have a legally enforceable contract with the leasing company and a legally enforceable contract with your vendor and Lee Goff has made off with a very hefty chunk of your money (paid to him by the leasing company you are making payments to, on the assumption that Lee Goff had title to the property all along...oops!)

Lee Goff has several front companies for this little scam, most recently he has been using Trinity Corporate Solutions, Your Credit Desk, yourcreditdesk.com, Group Four Investments, Lee Goff Enterprises. TCS and others.  He is fond of showing himself as a business partner of IBM, Lenvo, CDW and others, as one of his favorite targets is IT related purchases and office furniture.

Like any good con, Lee Goff is well versed on skirting criminal liability and left with civil recourse with somebody like Lee Goff is like being given a glass of water while drowning...it just isn't going to help much.
