Lee's mobile auto body Another mobile auto body scam in San Jose san jose California

      A guy with a white Ford sport utility with a commercial sticker "Lee's Mobile Auto Body" knock my door on November 2, 2013. He introduced his name as Steve Lee and would like to repare my sister damaged car on the driveway.  He said he could fix its hood, bumper and replace a headlight for $650.

      I called my sister and she agreed the operation with a piece of agreement. He mentioned on the paper that he is Steve Lee from Mobile Auto Body, phhone #(408)661-3800.  He immediate removed the broken headlight, the license plate and smash a little bit the bumper. He suddently ask me some cash to buy the headlight and turn light before the part shops closed their doors at 5PM and it was at that time about 4PM.  I gave hime $300 then he left and did not return after that

     The following day,  he returned and told me he was unable to call my sister and sorry not to complete the operation. He talked things around as if he was trying to understand my thoughts about him. At that time. I still thought this guy is honest and only suggest him to call my sister for the remaining operation. He left and never return since then

    Now that all the suspicious red flags of this scam are raised that I was tired and smart enough to detect this scam:

    - He does not have philip screw drive to remove the license plate, also he does not have WD-40

    - I gave him my sister phone several times and he said he was unable to reach her. Her phone log did not reveal any phone calls from him. He always asked me to use my cell phone to reach my sister: he does not want his phone number appear on phone log

   - His phone number on the car and his business card #(408)661-3800 is unknown from tracking reports. When we tried to call that number, he never replied

    I believe I'm now a victime of a widespead scams and lost stupidly $300. That's for sure!!!

    All I ask now to public in San Jose area whoever have any knowledge of a white male about 50 something traveling in a white sport utility (maybe Ford Explorer) with a female (maybe his wife), a small dog. This car has a commercial sticker "Lee's Mobile Auto Body". Please send me an email of his real name, his address, his license plate number, his real phone number etc. Please drop a message to (((phone number redacted)))
