Man called my home at 8:00 am, started the conversation by saying good evening. I asked him where he was calling from, he stated Minneosta, which would be central time. Far from the evening. The gentlemen was requesting me to purchase bonds, speaking on behalf of the United States Treasury Dept in Washington, DC. He would not provide me with his name. He mentioned he could sell me bonds at half price if I used my credit card. He mentioned I would not receive the bonds in the mail, I could view them only.
This was not a call from the United States Govenment. You could hear people laughing in the back. He informed me I only had 5 minutes to complete the speacial deal/ I told him I would have to call him back. Caller ID showed TOWN OF DAVIE.
I informed him, I thought this call was very suspicious, he hung up on me.
