I worked for this "Federal"contractor for about three years. During that time, every so often I would have to beg to get paid for the services of translation provided to them. They were very strict in regards to their parameters and would say that if work was not delivered on time and under the standards expected, you may lose the opportunity of working with them any more and you might not be paid.
I would always hand in jobs even before due dates and my job would always receive praise for being excellent and not requiring edit or proofing.
Still, since they lacked consistency to pay me, I decided it was best to stop working for them altogether. It has been one year that I sent invoices for payment for jobs that I did in May, 2016 and even in 2015 and I am still struggling to get them to pay me for my job.
Do not sign a contract with these people. They will not abide by their contract and they will breach it.
