I have an outstanding loan with payday loan yes I have had some financial difficulties the past 8 months and was not able to pay. So about the first part of August I called the PDL company to try and pay off. They would not take my money said it has been giving to another party for collection so I called this company and they said they did not have nothing on me and said sometimes it takes a few days for them to receive the file on the computer. That for me to wait for an email or phone call I have not received either one of these till today 8/27/08 from some lady named Jordan Kelly from Legal Mediation Pratice she was a little rude at first stating that I must come up with $640.00 in the next 2 hrs or I would be sent to courts 10.00 am Thurs morning. This is the first time I have ever spoke to these people I have received no letter from them or nothing. she put me on hold after i explained that I could pay on Friday morning at 9:30. She got back on phone and stated I could pay full amt on Friday am no later. we agreed. It was 5 min later I got another call from her stating her boss would not allow this after I had already agreed to this.I asked to speak to her manager he was very rude and would not let me talk I was trying to explain about the aggreement but he cut me off said I better go beg family or friend for this money buy 8:00 pm this same night or I would have a whole alot of trouble waiting on me tomorrow. I asked why would she offer me this and then recind he said im the boss you answer to me and she does to. I was treated like a child. I dont' know what type of company this is I so nerveous about this. He stated they would not take my money on Friday at all. Shouldn't I have a letter from this company stating everything about this acct sent to me. they have me scared to death of being arrested. when I want to pay it on 08/29/2008 not even 2 days

You CANNOT be arrested for failure to pay a civil debt.
How many people have you seen go to jail for not paying a debt??
None.
Stay off the phone!!
And..change your phone# to an unlisted one.
Close any bank accounts you have ever paid them with, as they will get a judgement and wipe out your account.
Open a new account at a different bank.
Stay away from payday loans.

Do not talk to them on the phone
Send them a letter Certified Mail asking for validation on this debt
I spent 1 week in court suing a collection agency like this and I won - these collections will use anything and everything to scaren you into paying a debt whether you owe it or not -
Oh and check with your Secretary of State to see if they have a Surety Bond on file - in the State of Texas a collection agency must have Surety Bond with the Secretary of State in order to call anyone - (learned that in court - boy my attorney knows his stuff)
Remember there is not such thing as a debtor's jail
If they threatened to have you arrested or such - sue em
Check your statutes in your state to see if you can recorded one sided conversations
Remember - Never call them if you can record - let them call you and get em
