I hired this company because I got hurt in New Mexico and needed to go after a company for my hospital expenses, due to code violating construction. I live in California, so their services seemed to offer an efficient way to go. They offer to file and serve the defendant. I file in Aug of 2007. Come the middle of October my case status had not changed. I called Legalcpu and questioned the delay. The very next day my account showed that defendant wa served in August.
This should have sparked some concern, but hey things happen right. So, months pass and my status never changes and I hear nothing from the court system. I started by writing emails to legalcpu asking what was the delay or where did I stand. Now this is the thing, they say they help you file and serve the defendant, so I was starting to worry if the defendant really was served. My emails went unreturned, several of them. So I called, they ask for your case ID and then nobody answers, you get voice mail. Repeated (like 5) attempts to get a real person were unsuccessful. So I used my cell phone to call and this time wahlah, I got a real person Kim at ext 103. She was baffled at the status (keep in mind this has taken until June 2008 from Oct 2007) and said she would have to investigate and get back to me. Well, you guessed it, never called me back.
I emailed again, this time writing to all email addresses, again no response. I even asked in them if I am going to need to contact an attorney to get a response from them. Now it's July 2008, the statue of limitations expires next month, so I call again. This time I insist on speaking with a manager and won't give info. I finally get Mike ext 107, says he's a manager, and run through a brief description of the events and nonreturning of email/calls. Mike says he will get to bottom of it and call me back ASAP. He's going to call the NM court and see what is up. Now however, right before we hang up, Mike gives me one important bit of info that had never been shared with me before, the actual court case#. Well as you guessed it Mike never called me back, even after I left a polite message for him on voicemail two days later. So, I took the case number and called the NM court myself. To my astonishment, there was never a reply from the defendant. Anyways, that is where legalcpu should have ended their service, by telling me the status of my case. I am going it alone from here. I need to stress that this company LEGALCPU.COM INC. did most of what they say but, left me hanging when a simple phone call to give me an actual court case number would have solved this all. I am at risk of losing this case due the statue of limitations, because of their negligence. I will never ever recommend anyone use their service for anything, just not a professional company. By the way, the questionaire I filled out was better written out by myself than the one they edited and submitted to the court.
Oh, one more thing, I requested a copy of our agreement and a copy of the filed documents three days ago. You guessed it no response! Be professional!!!

LegalCPU has been having problems with customer satisfaction lately because of the whole system crash, the recent boom of clients at that same moment, and the state of being nationwide, which is quite a hassel which explains why we are slowly downgrading to only california. You see when we are nationwide, other states can take weeks to respond back. But if you file a small claims with us in california (where our office is located), we can get the small claims hearing date in around 4 business days or so.
Also, we have lately had a system crash, meaning a lot of cases have been misplaced, much confusion but where almost done settling that. As you can see things have been very hectic at the office. That would explain why we couldnt call you and let you know that the defendant hadn't been served. We are working on solving this problem very quickly, even with the website problems people have been having, which will also be fixed by the end of July for sure. The new site will be way more helpful, and informative. I'm letting you know now, we are solving this problem of ours as quickly as possible. As you can see we moniter our status online as well, cause we care about our customers and there satisfaction.
