Leggett and Platt Leggett and Platt adjustable bed stopped working 3 years after purchase. Carthage, Missouri

We bought a Tempur-Pedic adjustable base made by Leggett and Platt. Less than 3 years after purchasing this expensive item it stopped working. Then in the middle of the night one night the bed came back to life just to fold my wife and I in half while we were sleeping. It woke us up obviously and we had to hurry out of bed at 3 am!

The most fun part is the bed would not go back down! After not working for 5-6 months and randomly doing this, it was completely dead. Luckily I was able to take the motor assembly off to get the bed to lay flat again.

I called the company the next day and they said the bed was out of warranty and I could purchase a new part for $200. What great customer service. If I would have known this $2000 item would break after 3 years we never would have purchased it.
