I purchased a vanity set online from efaucets.com for a house we are remodeling in the Florida Keys where I was transferred with the military a few years ago.

Here, where we live, we are forced to buy most of the things online because of the distance from the main land; this means that we receive lots of boxes in the mail every day especially now that we are remodeling a house.

The item took a while to be shipped because it was on back order. It was finally delivered and it was placed inside the downstairs enclosure in a very safe place with many other boxes until I finish the remodeling of the bathroom.

I was finally able to finish the bathroom and when I opened the box to take the vanity out to install it, the top and the mirror where all broken in pieces and the vanity was all damaged inside.

I called the customer service department at efaucets.com where we purchased the vanity to try to find a solution for this situation and they said that nothing can be done since the item was delivered more than a month ago. All they did was giving us the contact information of the manufacturer, Legion Furniture, for us to contact them to see if this can be covered by their guarantee.

I called Legion Furniture and I was able to talk to the office manager named Jessica and she offered to “sell” us the top alone and we accepted it, understanding that it was our mistake for not reading efaucets.com return policy.

I have been e mailing and calling Legion Furniture several times for over a week and I haven’t heard anything about my vanity top. She asked for my credit card # but nothing has been done about it.

I feel as a consumer that I have been robed since I spent almost $700 in a piece of furniture that I will have to throw away and no one wants to assume responsibility of the condition of the item received.

Efaucets.com refused to accept my claim using their return policy as the perfect excuse and Legion Furniture is not paying the attention I deserve as a customer. The way the item was prepare for delivery wasn’t the way a fragile item is suppose to be handled. Everything came in the same box, the top wasn’t attached to the vanity and the mirror was in a very thin box inside the same package.

As a consumer I believe I deserve a refund or a replacement no matter how long I bought the item. I have pictures that support all this.
