Lenz Auto will not return deposit. Ripoff had my daughter sign a blank contract Fond Du Lac Wisconsin

On 8/6/05 my daughter, and 14 year old granddaughter drove from Bemidji, MN to Fond Du Lac WI, to put a deposit on a car that she found on the internet site of Lenz Auto.

When she arrived she found excessive rust on the vehicle, and decided against the purchase. While she was outside securing employment records from her car, for a possible future transaction with this firm, Mr. Brad Lenz took a bank envelope from my granddaughter to count the cash inside.

Mr. Lenz and my daughter could not reach an agreement on a specific vehicle at that time, and he was in a rush to make a prior family commitment. He signed a blank piece of paper for her receipt, and they both left the negotiations.

She drove back to MN and related the story to me, I asked to see the receipt, and asked her what papers she had signed. Mr. Lenz had her sign a blank purchase contract, and various other credit forms. I then emailed Mr. Lenz, and asked him to fax the contracts to me that she had signed. He did respond with an email to have my daughter call him. We decided at that time only to deal with him in writing. I wrote another email asking for the return of her deposit, and he did not respond. My daughter contacted an attorney in Sparta, WI, and he wrote to Mr. Lenz requesting copies of the contract, again no response.

We have now filed a complaint with the WI better business bureau, and the WI DOT.
