I think both you guys (Steven Dowd are Leon Apel) are extreme duece bags.  I've gotten over the fact that your not going to pay me, but if you really want to get employees involved I will send this report to all the freelancers who I outsourced your projects to & let them come on here to rebutal about how they feel about your guys false statements.

I just came across this report and I had to say something. I witnessed the entire Derick Downs ordeal and I can speak non-biasedly about it. To make a long story short: He was a hire that did not work out. I saw a few red flags in the first week or so. The first was when he divuldged useless information to us (repeatedly) about how he turned a job offer from Sony Corp down to work for Leon. I've had my experience with crazy women in the past and this guy seemed like a stalker. Everything he talked about somehow involved him being a victim. I knew after a week he was trouble but I kept my mouth shut. Fast forward 2 weeks and he's no longer employed with us and acting like a psycho, texting and calling me repeatedly with nonsense. I had to block him on my phone finally. Derick Downs is a troubled human being who needs to get honest with himself. And Derick, if you are reading this, the State of California has programs in place for those with issues.

1) Derick James Downs mispelled a significant portion of the information above, which doesn't give him a lot of credibility.

2) Derick James Downs was fired as an independent contractor for poor performance and losing our company money

3) Derick James Downs violated our Non Disclosure Agreement by posting some information, which now gives us another cause to sue for damages

4) Derick James Downs did not complete work that he was paid to do, left projects incomplete/late and did not provide updates as required. He also lost us money by terribly managing an advertising budget.

5) Derick James Downs is now being chased after by the State of California Franchise Tax Board for tax years 2010 and 2011. They sent us a "EARNINGS WITHOLDING ORDER FOR TAXES" 

6) Derick James Downs harassed employees, and business associates after being fired.

7) Derick James Downs committed libel with this faulty ripoffreport

8) Derick James Downs tried to extort us to pay him for work he NEVER PERFORMED and that we had to PAY OTHERS TO DO. He whined that he would complain to the labor board

9) Derick Downs posted two ripoffreports saying "See here is what other businesses are posting about him too" as if he didn't post two reports.

Derick James Downs appears to be a hater. If he keeps this up, he won't go far in life. 

We have many happy team members who are honest, and hard working. Derick Downs was our WORST HIRING DECISION.

P.S. I have 10+ references of people who can vouch for my trustworthiness and have team members I've worked with for YEARS. 

The following are direct responses to Leon Apel'a bold statements:

1)-Read again dude- the misspelled portion of this was provided by somebody else. Probably another person you screwed over, or a rip of report publisher.

2) I was hired as a w-2 contractor. Attached is my pay stub from Paychex.com, and W2 form proving I was a w2 employees: (representative for paychex is Jessica, and she can verify how shady you business practices are)  Please explain how I was hired as a W-2 contractor, but then once you could afford to pay me, you act like you hired me as a 1099 contractor..

3) You made me sign a bunch of forms if I wanted to get paid.  The W2 I signed doesn't matter to you, but this NDA hiding your sneaky, scams & sales techniques does.... I should have never trusted you after you explained some issues with your prior employees.  I should have realized your the problem not them.

4) I outsourced more sites for you in a month then anybody you've ever met.  Don't act like I didn't do more work then you expected (you even said this)  You didn't pay me, Karl didn't pay me, and both of you havent paid the freelancers that I hired to do your work.  I had to come out of pocket for a job which is BS as well.

5) Being chased?? IRS clearly knows where I'm at. They aren't stupid.  Maybe in Canada they are since I know you don't pay taxes.. I'm not going to call and research because it doesn't matter.  Not sure why you did... Typically CEOs that are busy don't have the time to deal with reasearchinh ex employees or pirate taxes...

6) You have 1 employee and outsource the rest to call centers off shore because your to scared of dealing with the pain you cause to ever person who thinks there getting a FREE trial of your products. I have no idea why any affiliate would run any offers for any company you represent.  If they do they should expect to get paid only when you have funds, read all legal documents carefully, and ask others about Leon Apel before marketing any offer for them.

7) I assure you I wouldn't take the time to write a report if you would have held up to your end of the job offer.  You think you can use internet bullying skills to scare people, but sorry bro... Your a little dude from Canada.  Why don't you go back to your country EH? You have no friends or loyal customers.  Your run pump and dump operations.

8) You changed access and I couldn't finish any work if I tried, nor could any of my freelancers. Your the reason programmers don't like working with people. You never paid anybody on my team., made us work 12+hour days and only would pay for 8 hours because you "supposedly" follow the state, FTC, SEC, and IRS rules... I'm pretty sure the way you operate in different countries allows you to some how bypass taxes... But glad your looking into mine.

The above is the truth about this matter.  I've already filed complaints with the labor board, RIP off Report, and soon several others.  I would appreciate everybody share this message with at least 1 person to save them from this Canadian fraudster.
