Sold me a Dell XPS laptop on 4-14-06 that he stated was refurbished by DELL. I have not been able to get the system to work with out it getting a blue screen of death and this has been going on for almost a week with no resolution.

Also said that he transferred ownership to me on 4-14-06, as of 4-25-06 nothing has been documented by DELL customer service stating that.

I called Dell to ask them about the laptop to see if it had been refurbished and they said that the numbers that were on the laptop were not listed as having ever been refurbished.

Also he is stating that the laptop has 800 days of total care warranty on it from Dell, Dell is saying that the laptop does not have that type of warranty and the ownership can't be transferred with the warranty.

I paid $2309 for the laptop it was supposed to be refurbished by DELL that was stated in the advertisement, plus all the software that was also stated in the advertisement was not included.

I have been trying to work with this person to get this resolved but am getting no where but frustrated. All I want to do is return the laptop and get my money back but he is not willing to do this.

The bottom line is he has misrepresented this product, let alone the misrepresentation that he has given to Dell Corporation.

I feel this is a very serious and fraudulent act that is being presented by this seller and something needs to be done to stop this person from doing this in the future.

Plus after further research since this has been happening I found that he is listed on a couple of different site's as being listed as a fraudulent person.

Ron never bothered to admit the problem was all his fault

AUTHOR: Ultrahighendcomputers - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 13, 2007

Ron asked for a HD upgrade on his unit. Whereby he got a larger and different hard drive than the unit was originally built with.

I gave him a larger HD as he requested. That HD had an older disk image from a different machine that had less warranty and was from a different system.

When he ran the tag on the unit, he thought only to check the tag on the HD, which is not paired to the laptop.

When I explained to him that this service tag under the laptop or in the bios were the correct tags to use, he realized that he indeed did have the correct laptop.

And he apologized and removed his negative feedback from EBAY.

However he wildly overreacted in his posting here on this site, and anyone can go to ebay and check my credentials and feedback.

Ron went way too far in posting such a totally errant report, and ofcourse never bothered to come and amend his posting.

I only stumbled upon this when doing a phone number search on google.
