Leslie Wells & Associates School Conference was a Sham Buford, GA 30515 Georgia

I am a small business owner and greatly respect the hard work of other small businesses which is why it takes an egregious situation for me to submit a report about another small business. I have never done so before.

Leslie Wells contacted me about advertising and purchasing a table at an educational conference for private preschools and elementary schools. In writing, she stated there would be 150 attendees from schools. Our company sells educational products and services to schools.

The other exhibitors and I waited for the conference attendees to show up. Virtually no one did. It is reasonable to expect that a certain amount of attendees will not show up but there was practically no one there except the vendors who had rented the tables. 

All of the exhibitors were furious, felt cheated, and asked for a refund. We met with Ms. Wells who avoided our questions. It was obvious she was answering our questions dishonestly and had no intention of refunding our money. We asked her how many attendees had registered during the event and she lied to us, saying that she did not know. I walked across the hall and in one minute found out from the person in charge of registrations that 18 people in total had registered with him. He was writing down the registrations on a 4 x 6 inch legal pad -- that was the registration process she had set up. 

Under no circumstances should any vendor purchase advertising or table space with this company. These events are a sham and are designed only for her to make a quick buck. Ms. Wells moves the conventions to different places each year, misrepresents the attendance, ane takes the money of hard working small businesses without delivering. She scammed about two dozen vendors at this conference and we want to make sure that no one else is taken advantage of by this company.
