Received a postcard in the mail offering a cruise vacation to attend a meeting at a local Eureka, California hotel.  We called to reserve a space.  At the meeting the postcard was taken from us when we signed in.  Presentation given concerning a vacation website whose membership saved people lots of money on expensive condos, air fare, vacation packages and cruises.  Full membership was priced at $9,990, with a discount of $1,500 in exchange for the postcard vacation offer.  Looked good but much too expensive.  However, my husband and I haven't taken a true vacation in almost 10 years, so we were receptive to a lower fee.  Two "agents" switch baited us until we agreed to a fee of $1,490. The fee was made out to First American Title Insurance Company.

After the meeting my husband and I had some grave misgivings.  Even $1,490 was a great deal of money for us.  The website given us, www.letsgosoftware.com, had no more on it than pages of the leaflets given to us in our "kit."  We reviewed the contract again.  I knew that there had to be a 3-day cancellation section, which was neither pointed out to us nor verbally presented.  We followed the directions about cancelling: fax a cancellation letter to First American Title Insurance Company at 714-361-3582 and send a certified letter to Let's Go Software in Seattle, WA.  A refund was promised within fifteen (15) business days from the date of cancellation.  We cancelled as directed on March 21, 2012.  As of April 9, 2012 we have not received any response in any form to our cancellation.  We are feeling doom approaching and are distrustful we will receive our monies on April 11, 2012.  More later!
