Just to add to the pile of things I have already read , the above companies are all over websites like careerbuilder.com and hotjobs.com . They come across as these amazing opportunities when what it really is a pyramid scheme on a much grander level.

When i first started getting all these calls and responses to set up an interview I thought great but I have made a habit out of checking out the companies I interview for and came across similar reports from various parts of the US. It makes me really sad that people that are honestly looking for jobs are subjected to this kind of deception and it's not getting exposed the way it should be but hopefully more people will start checking things out about these "promotion" and "advertising" companies and can tell these people ware to go and how to get there when they e-mail or call to set up an interview.

One last thing that struck me as odd was when this woman called me she raved about how well her boss liked my resume and thought I had "wonderful skills" and I was exactly what they were looking for, but then asked me to bring a copy of my resume with me ? Why didn't they just print it out? other jobs interviews that I have been on had always just printed out a copy. which makes me think they are calling everyone who applies and the risk of more people falling for this is a lot higher than I thought it was.

Good luck everyone out there who is still job hunting it was hard before but this just makes it even harder, I wish you all the best.

curious

AUTHOR: Jay - (USA)

This is in response to the employee. I notice your rebutal was in response to bringing a resume. Since you are an employee, im curious, what have you to say about the allegations of your company being a multi level marketing scheme? I was wondering because I too have been contacted by your company and its easy for people to bad mouth a company for personal reasons outside of thier actual status as a legitamite job. What do your employees actually do?

Adding a different name to the list - Lotus Marketing Group

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Lotus Marketing Group in Hayward, CA is another similar company. I like to examine the companies as much as I can before applying, and while browsing through Lotus Marketing Group's website which was filled with grammatical and formatting errors, I noticed that it was linked to Level 1 Enterprises. Lotus Marketing Group advertised on monster.com, and their website even has the same formatting as Lotus Marketing Group, except even less professional.

I have a feeling that the Hayward, CA-based office is a fairly recent one, so I felt compelled to register on ripoff report so others can discover more about companies that prey on desperately unemployed people and training them to deceive consumers. Read the other reports on Level 1 Enterprises on this website for more info, especially those posted by former employees. And good luck with your job searches - it's very tough these days.

This is ridiculous

so you honestly think that when you go in for an interview you should not have to bring a resume with you? You have obviously never had a real job before. Of course you would have to bring one with you. So you think that these companies just have stacks and stacks of resume paper that they should just print out for everyone? Of course they have it on file but when you go in for an interview and you bring your resume it is your time to talk about yourself and show how professionally you can display yourself.
