I own a X4550 printer, that worked fine for many years, however in the last 2 years I have been unable to scan to my computer.  After several hours with their support team all the satisfaction I received was that for $119 they could fix the problem.  Well for $119 I can buy a new printer.  That said, I was able to devise a quick fix for the problem, by pulling the power cord out and plugging in the USB cable.  This action enables me to use the scanner until I buy a new printer.  Lexmark is shameless in their support.  They know that the problem exists and they have two other repairs listed on their web site.

 Where is the ripoff?? Im not seeing it. So after a FEW YEARS your scanner no longer works. We get that. Things break down after using them FOR A FEW YEARS. How is this Lexmarks fault?? They offered you a repair if you wished to keep THAT scanner and YOU declined. So once again.....WHERE IS THE RIPOFF?? Is it because they asked ofr money to do a repair? Is it because after almost 9 years your scanner no longer works like it did right out of the box?? Which is it?? Because all it sounds like to me is that youre online to b***h and since ytou REALLY dont have anything to complain about you TRY and besmirch their name because YOUR  scanner no longer works as it did new.

The web is a wonderful tool, but when dipsticks like you get online and make FALSE/FAKE posts, you invalidate the entire process. Get over it!!!! Things wear out. Things break. Lexmark had ZERO control over how YOU have used this item ALL THESE YEARS. Lexmark has ZERO responsability past the one year manufactures warrenty. Do the web a favor, stay off sites like this unless you have something REALLY to complain about. Complaining about them NOT taking responsability for YOUR problem is petty and stupid.
