I was sold on opening a merchant account with the company for my new business. They were to open the account and send me the credit card machine so that I could start accepting credit cards right away. I recieved the machine in working conditions, however I could not use it. It was very vaguely explained to me by a representative that either the account had been closed or that the process of opening the account had been stopped. Neither of which had I authorized anyway being that I had just signed a contract for a $500 piece of equpitment for which the account would be necessary. I was never told exactly what happened, why, or how to fix it. Only that they would not accept the machine back and since I had signed for the service that I would have to pay. I am extremley interested in filing for a class action law suit because this is now on my credit report for at least another 7 years and I have no intention on making continuous or reparable payments for a service that I was NEVER ABLE TO USE!!!!
