I mailed in a rebate claim form on or about 12/1 for a $30.00 rebate on an LG HBM-900 bluetooth headset which I purchased from Newegg.com on 11/20/2010.
It is now 12/27. I just logged ontotheirwebsite to check my rebate status and saw that they have no record of ever receiving my rebate application.
The rebate form says it takes 60 days to pay out the rebate (which is the longest time I've ever heard of to pay a rebate) but it should show that the forms have been received by now after almost a month.
I have not received the mailing as returned from the post office. I have sent in many dozens of rebate forms and have never messed one up. I have scans of everything I sent in. The form (the most complicated and confusing rebate form I've ever encountered) was filled in exactly as instructed.

BTW, the product (a bluetooth headset)is horrible. So, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So much for LG. I was going to buy one of their flat panel TVs but they just pushed me towards Panasonic after this.
Next step, wait for the 60 days for the rebate to (probably not) show up.
After that, start a dispute through Visa against NewEgg who did nothing wrong which is too bad and will be a huge PITA....

I called and they picked up the phone at Advertising Checking Bureau and they found my rebate submission. "It just got submitted today."
