i took the car to lia honda because it had no reverse.
they looked at it and gave this report."will not move in reverse. clicks when in drive. tech verified concern. vehicle will not move in reverse. tech found that gears are rattling in transmissionand left front axle has looseness. driver front tire has scratch marks and digsshowing signs of spinning.
it is lia honda diagnosis that weather conditions caused left front wheels lack of traction and that spinning the wheel caused transmission to break which would not be a factory defect and will not be covered by honda of america."
i took it to another honda dealer and they did not agree with that diagnosis.
so therefore i have filed a consumer fraud complaint with the ny attorney general's office on lia honda.

AUTHOR: Erin - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, December 29, 2007
In December of 2005, I purchased a used Corolla from Lia Used cars; I believe this place was on Central Ave. but just outside of Albany, in Schenectady. The man who sold me the car is Dustin and the man in charge is Eric. The showroom closed soon after I purchased my car and I learned that Dustin no longer worked for the company.
First of all, the car was not ready the first time I came to pick it up; second of all, when it was ready it was delivered to me by Dustin and the paint had not been cleaned off the windsheild (indicating the price, year and so on); thirdly, when having the car's picture taken for insurance, I noticed it had not even been registered. AND THEN, to put the cherry on the cake, the car ended up having a serious oil leak/buring problem. I was told to take the car to Lia Kia.
After bringing in my Corolla two or maybe even three times for the same problem, it was finally fixed at no charge to me. HOWEVER, all of these incidents point to SLOPPY BUSINESS. If you're looking for a car, don't go to any of the Lia companies.
