I hired Liam Linden to develop a website for me and my partners.

We talked about the website and it’s features over skype and Liam agreed to develop the site for $1800 over a period of 10 days. For payment, we decided on a 60/40 payment plan where 60% of payment would be sent in the beginning of the project while the remaining 40% would be paid upon project completion.

Initial Payment: $1,080
Final Payment: $720

After agreeing to terms, we signed and counter signed the contract and we then proceeded to send payment.

Liam only wanted payment with paypal or western union and did not and was not willing to accept wire transfer. Therefore we opted to send money on paypal on may 13th. But the way we sent the money was as a gift and for him he was uable to receive the money only after 14 days even though it clearly shows on our account that the payment was sent and completed and that he received it. He also called paypal to confirm that we sent the money and they DID confirm it was sent but he did not like the fact that he had to receive the money 14 days. Therefore we refunded the money and had to send money on Western union.

After we sent money by Western Union, he checked and received it and told us that he would start on making the website from us. However, 2 days later we get a notice from Paypal saying that the refund did not go through:

We were startled about this so we immediately contacted him on Skype but he never replied to our messages. So I tried calling him but he never answered his phone and I tried 3 times to call him.

After him not responding, on May 20th I threatened to upload a scam report on him and he then replied saying that there was fiber optics being installed near his home so he could not respond to our messages and emails. Liam lives in the United Kingdom and not having internet at home could be understable but he would of still received the emails and skype messages on his smartphone, but we still gave him benefit of the doubt.

Anyways he said he was developing the site and we agreed upon a meeting time so he could show us his progress on Teamviewer. But the next day (our scheduled meeting time), he did not show up and we waited all day, I even sent him messages on skype, called and emailed but he never replied.

So on May 25th, after repeated attempts to contact him I again threatened to upload a ripoff report and he got back to me and said he was working on the project and apologized about not replying to our attempts at contacting him and promised that he would now reply.

Therefore we scheduled another meeting so he could show us the progress on the website develop on teamviewer but he did not SHOW UP AGAIN!!

Getting tired of this, I left a voice message on his phone, emailed and contacted again via Skype but he did not reply even though he promised he would be replying.

Now we are -$2,160 (western union and paypal payments) and do not even have a website. We have been scammed.

We recommend that people do not work with Liam Linden and his company, Advanced Development.
