Liberator.com is run by an egotistical stereotyping cheapskate that refuses any employees health care because it comes out of his own wallet. All of the products are marked up at a phenominally high rate and their poor quality is masked by their fancy website. Working for Louis, the CEO/cofounder, is a drag. He hires you on and gives you this great vision of how much fun and excitement you'd find working for him. He gives off the vibe that they have a large spending budget and will do whatever it takes to acommodate employee needs but after a week or so, one will find themselves realizing that it is all a hoax.
There is no business plan and no guarantee that your job will last more than a week. He wakes up in the morning and decides he wants to take the company in a new direction and completly overrides prediscussed plans developed by sensible advisors. He does this when he feels he needs to show that he has power over his employees and that no matter what is said, he makes the final call. This is degrading to his employees who work hard to develop these plans and results in the complete demoralization of the staff when they are the ones that take the blame for the plan's failure. Louis wouldn't fly his designers in to meet with him about company goals and growth but he will spend more money to fly in models from other states if they look like they would fit into his perverted fantasies. This is a 60 year old man who is known for sitting in on photoshoots with already uncomfortable models and use filthy vulgar language to try and get them to do things that are not part of the contractual agreement.
He will not pay you your asking salary. He will only lowball you and then ask you to come in and work weekends for "extra days off" which he then completely denies when you decide to use them.
The lies begin before you even set foot in the door. If you see see postings for career opportunites like the ones on creativehotlist.com or any other jobsearch sites, just move on. It is a dark pit that isn't easy to get out of because of the nature of the work there.

I came across this information on the web and all along I thought it was me as a failure, well it is not, and I agree with the previuos report, Louis does make you feel like a failure then he discards you like a piece of trash.
I was hired in as a part of the top management at one time. During the interview he played the company like a great and growing company, despite the product, i was willing to work there to provide for my family.
Within one week he brought in two more employees ready to undermine me and take my job, this was Louis's way of having fun. I told the guys the situation,and before you know it the other guy was fired immediatley, he probably told Louis what I had said about the his plan.
his secretary has a whole in the curtains adjacent to his office to visually look at the potential employees that Louis is interviewing. She also listens as well. Louis promised me $5000 for every improvement I made, I achieved all three improvements and got fired over the telephone. This was the most stressful time I ever had. This same man has haunted me and yet to his day.
He does do strange things in the back rooms, he has bailed out a known prostitute out of jail that did work for him.
I would not recommend this place to anyone and whomever works there now you better get out while you can.
