Liberty Benefits Package is a rip off & they won't let you cancel!

In November of 2001 I received a yellow card in the mail saying that I was pre-approved for a credit card.

They said because of my bad credit I would need to pay some money. A little over $200.00.

I gave them a check number and all the information they needed. I didn't have the money in my account then so I made arrangements to have the money taken out on 12-3-01.

I called them back because I thought I had made a bad decision and asked to cancel my order for the card.

They told me that this was not possible and that I had made a verbal agreement over the phone.

I asked to listen to those agreements and they refused. I then asked to speak to a manager, they also refused this.

I right a way went to my bank to put a stop payment on the check # I had given them.

They still got the money out by dividing the amount they took out into two transactions and they took it out earlier then discused.

It was done on 11-30-01. I have called since then and have gotten no help and all of the people I talk to are pricks.

Can someone please help me get my money back from these people and more.

They told me that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before I would get anything.It's now been five weeks and I don't think I'm going to get it.
