Liberty Group Fraudulent mail promising 98,000.00 in winnings Darien Connecticut

I called this company because it seem to good to be true, but on the other hand it was very exciting if it was true! I have never been a victum of fraud and it is very disturbing.

First I get a letter and a check that looks real and cashable promising me 98,000.00 if I contact them. So I did and first of all the man I talked to was obviously from a different country, that was my first red flag. I listened to want he had to say. He told me to put the check in my account and wait 48 hours so that they would know it was the person they sent the mail to. It seemed to good to be true and so I told him that. Then he started in on how they were not forcing me to do anything and that if I chose not to cash the check it didn't matter to him and his company, that was another red flag.

So he told me that accounting department would call me on Tuesday (today) and I never got a call. So I was planning to look them up on the internet anyway and when I did I got to your sight. I am so glad that I did that because I do not think going to Jail for some time is very appealing to me so thank you and all of the people that came forward.

I called the guy back and told him how sick I was with him and what he is doing. He then told me that I was wrong for calling him and kept asking me where I got my info and he could not help me if he didn't know what I was talking about. He said this over and over again and I kept telling him all the information that he was asking for and he still kept asking me, finally he told me that the accounting department would call me tomorrow. I am not holding my breath on that one, hopfully he will stop what he is doing so that others do not get hurt.

How does someone come up with a scam like this? How can they live with themselves when they are hurting innocent people! I am going to take this to the post office and also write an e-mail to the news programs here in my town so that other people will not fall for this!
