Do not EVER go to Liberty Jewelers in St. Thomas. I was there last week on a cruise and was shown a beautiful emerald ring in the store. I purchased it for $2450.00 and the owner said they would size it for me and for me to return later to pick it up. I returned to pick it up and tried it on. I noticed it looked a little different and asked. They said oh no this is the one you purchsed. I thought I was being paranoid...I was going to wear it out and the owner warned that I should not take it out until I return to the ship so that it is not stolen. Made sense. I returned to ship and looked at the lovely ring I purchased. It had a crack through the middle. I tried to go back but the ship was about to sail. I tried to contact the merchant, but no response. I have contacted my credit card comapany but I want all buyers to beware! I saved my money for two years, my husband is not working currently and this was out big 15 year anniversary trip. We renewed our vows and he gave me this cracked ring during the ceremony. (that was all I could think about, not how lucky we were to have each other) Liberty Jewelers is bad news.

My mother and I were frequent customers of Liberty Jewelers for many many years when we would go to St Thomas every year on vacation. This is a family owned business and we NEVER had anything but GREAT experiences purchasing there. I am sorry to read a bad review on the business but I will still gladly go there if I return to St Thomas as I found them to be honest and lovely people.

I have been a loyal customer to Liberty Jewelers for over 6 yrs and I have never had a problem with them. We bought our wedding ring amongst a lot of other jewelry and watches that the price could not be beat and quality was excellent. All I could say is that I'm sorry for this individual and maybe they should try to contact them after her cruise. I know for sure that if what she said is correct that they would work something out with her. They are good people and will do the right thing.

I have been a customer of Liberty Jewelers for many years. Neither I nor any of the many people I have referred have ever had a problem. My wife had a ring, from another jeweler, in which the stone chipped. Liberty put a new stone in it and didn't even charge us. We will always be a customer of theirs.
