My husband received a an unsolicted phone call (11/19/08) from this company wanting to sell some property in New Mexico. My husband is elderly and didn't understand all that was said and told Mr. Hurlbert to call me on 11/20/08. Mr. Hurlbert called me and said that my husband had agreed to $86,000 as the sale price for the property and that they would handle everything, including back taxes if there were any. They wanted me to give them $1,200 to start the process for their costs. I told him if Liberty Land Services were going to sell the property they could take the $1,200 out of the proceeds of the sale. We don't pay for services up front on unsolicted phone calls. Mr. Hurlbert appeared to be a very fast smooth talker. He said they had to have the money upfront, because they provide the financing for the buyer, and they can not appear on the closing statement showing they are owed funds from the buyer and to the seller. This is illegal. At this point I told them if it was illegal to do this, then it was illegal to take money from the seller upfront. He than began suggesting that I contact the Better Business Bureau they would give the company a good recommendation. Wanted me to have the address and wanted to fax me a confirmation sheet to look over and return with my credit card number so they could start the process. When I said no he said that I could just give him the property for free and he could make the money off it. Tried to intimidate me with his statements.
My husband is 86 years old and I felt this was just another scam artist who had gone thru property records and with this information will prey on the elderly who sometimes don't think the whole process thru. So beware of what they have to say and why they want your hard earned money.

The first one is the magazines, the second one is "Liberty rewards" which they call with the last four digits of your credit card and will tell you that they are with your credit card company. They lie along with the supervisors and the owners. They tell the customer/victim that if they have any questions what so ever to wait until the end of the recorded disclosure statement, and not to interupt them while they are reading the disclosure statement. They then read it so fast that you dont know what they just said. At the end of it they say OK? If you respond OK then you just gave your recorded permission to charge YOUR credit card that they already have on file. Another way they get people is they tell the customer/victim that no matter what they say in the disclosure statement to ignore it because they are going to do you a favor and waive all charges, but that its very important not to ask any questions during the recording and to just say ok when you here me say ok. BUT really they DO NOT waive the charges. The supervisors do this and all the telemarketers do it in that room. The owners dont care because they are taking your money! They DO NOT report taxes and they DO not take taxes out on their employees.
The third scam that they do is Liberty Land which they scam people there as well. They tell people that they have buyers for their land in which they dont. They get your card info and assure you that the land will be sold in so many days but it does not sell and they charge your card like 3,500
These people that own this business have about three other companies here in the Bay area. The one associated with this telephone number is in Largo Fl. on 66th street. I will be back with the correct address when I get it. I know you cant find the address with the phone number but all I have to do is drive up there to get it because I know exactly where its at.
The supervisors name who runs the "Liberty rewards" program is Harry Levin. He is a Felon and is currently on probation for dealing drugs. He spent some time in prison. His girlfriend Kori ortez or ortega is head of payroll. The owners are Danny, Robert and Lucus
All these people are scum buckets who will prey on you and lie to steal your money.
