Pretty simple. Signed on with Liberty League as an associate on September 15th. Spent 450.00 advertising. Bought 1st tier product Beyond Freedom on October 5th. Sent my advisor a check for $1520.00 overnight delivery for the product.

Life happened and I needed a refund. Liberty League has a 10 day refund policy on the purchase of Beyond Freedom. I wrote the company asking for a refund on October 8th. Customer support said that "they had already sent the product, and for me to refuse shipment-when they got it back my advisor would process my refund"

October 15th Liberty League customer support replied to my email stating that my purchase had been returned to them, and my advisor would be processing my refund.

November 7th. 30 days after asking for refund, guess what? Yep. No money. No house payment being made today. You get the picture. 3 emails to company within the past 48 hours, and no response. Emailed advisor-no response-Called advisor-again...you get the picture.

Do not for any reason send any of these people any money.

Recent legal action against LLI and its founders

AUTHOR: Fred F. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 09, 2007

Check this out: Found this on the internet this afternoon (filed 11/7/07), this was a lawsuit just filed in Ohio. The plaintiffs are going after LLI, its founders and it also appears to be naming advisors in the lawsuit (Listed as John Does).

Scary stuff here and more reasons to stay away from this company.. The plaintiffs are going after LLI, et al under the RICO act which targets organized crime and corrupt companies...

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Another unfortunate victim of LLI

Lena, It's too bad you had to go through this bad experience with LLI... I also lost $1520, plus a month or so of expenses for the web access and conference calls...Concerning your advisor..(scam artist), you will probably never receive a call back or a refund... When they sold you Beyond Freedom, $1000 dollars of that went directly into their pocket. The remaining $520 went to LLI in Scottsdale to cover the cost of the BF and shipping. My guess is that your advisor spent that money as fast as it was received so that they could "live the life"...LLI preaches a "fake it till you make it" mentality, so I imagine all the fancy pictures of cars and exotic trips, etc... is an untrue facade...Your advisor is most likely in financial dire straits.

If there is a silver lining to any of this, we should both be lucky we didn't spend the big money (22k) to get "positioned" by purchasing the Liberty and Summit conferences... What really killed the deal for me was the fact that my advisor could not really explain (or did not want to explain) what getting "positioned" meant. He just kept saying that I needed to get the funds any way I could so as to be qualified to make bigger commissions. It got real ugly as he not only bullied me on this but went behind by back and was pushing my wife on this. After doing more research and listening to the absolutely meaningless training calls...Basically, a few of the so called top earners bragging about going to the beach, buying new wheels for their Mercedes, etc...... I realized I had been scammed. What really opened up my eyes, was the fact that the BBB classifies this organization as a pyramid scheme... Pyramids are illegal in just about every state and for being part of this or for promoting these types of activities, you could be prosecuted. It's just an ugly bad situation any way you look at it. There is a TON of negative press on LLI and I wish that I had spent more time researching this before I opened my check book... Here is a site that gives the absolute truth about Liberty League and further exposes it as a very expensive scam http://www.libertyleaguetruth.com/

You may want to do some google searches using the keywords: "Liberty League International class action lawsuit" if you are looking to pursue legal action. I have done this search a few times and it looks like there are several victims recruiting participants for a lawsuit. I would not only go up against LLI, but would name your advisor as part of this suit.

If you really want to scare your advisor, complete and send them a federal 1099 tax statement. The $1000 dollars of YOUR money that went into their pocket is taxable income which should be reported...From what I know, it seems like many of the advisors pay little or no tax on their earnings.

Best of luck in your future endeavors and don't fall for any more "get rich quick" scams...Get a real job with benefits, work hard and everything will work out !
