Do not use this company! they lie to everyone to get their business, than when it's time for your move there's no one to help you. Also, they may quote you one thing, but as soon as they have your stuff on their truck, they change the price on you! I live in Jersey City so I am well aware of their scams. Unfortunately I know many people who have used them for local moves. Always ends up double than what they quote you for. F rating and terrible complaints for this company on google and other sites. It's so sad that these people are able to sleep at night knowing that they are crooks. And then they wonder why they're being sued all the d**n time. Remember people, do your research! If their prices and sales reps sound too good to be true, well then it probably is!!

Response to the owner of Liberty Moving and Storage Group

AUTHOR: Norton1234 - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 02, 2017

Dear Owner,

My name is Michele and I have a story to tell.  My story starts with Liberty Bell Moving Group, ends up with Eight Mile Moving and Storage and Moving Mania. I asked at least a dozen times to speak to the owner of Liberty Bell , was denied, during my horrific experience with all three companys that started out with Liberty Moving and Storage. The end result was and is Damaged furniture and boxes. Denis Rice has yet to settle with me and is missing in action, along with members of your staff.

To be continued....

Respectfuly.

Michele Norris

Even a Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 10, 2011

This company is well known for cubic foot quotes which can easily be manipulated to end up costing the consumer 2-3 times more than the original estimate over the telephone.  Basic rules to follow are:

1.  Never accept anyone who gives cubic foot quotes
2.  Never accept any mover who won't come out to see your goods.  If you aren't located in New Jersey, don't bother with this company.
3.  If you live in Jersey, I would be wary of them also
4.  Never choose a mover based upon the good word of one person online.  Most likely, the 'good' word is a plant, or someone from within the company.
5.  Never choose a mover off the internet.  You should research movers on the internet.  Any mover with a bad history, or NO history should be avoided.

With the way the industry is and has been for many years, you would be better off with one of the major movers.  Moving is not an inexpensive venture and choosing the cheapest mover will almost certainly cost you far more in the long run.

I disagree with that bad review. Liberty is not that bad.

AUTHOR: JimmyPetro - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, April 10, 2011

Let me preface my comments by saying, the owner of Liberty told me about the bad review on this site and asked if I would share my expereince. I had a good expereince and I agreed.

My name is James P. I own a home based event planning company. Liberty helped me move a few months ago and it was pretty good. They were on time, they didn't damage anything and the price was fair. Those are the most important things to judge any moving company by. They were somewhat friendly but I was looking to start a friendship. I personally could care less if the employees aren't friendly. Just as long as they are professional and not rude.

If you are looking to move I suggest give Liberty a fair shake. That bad review seems a little to mad and angry which means it is probably fake..

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

From The Owner Of Liberty Moving Group

AUTHOR: Liberty Moving Group - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 22, 2011

I am the owner of Liberty Moving Group. To my knowledge the above report is false. It was made in attempt tobring my company down. If you read that report again how could a "customer" know such information? Its impossible! This is all false! No name is listed or job number. The article is not evenabout the experience of the move. It is about someone living in "Jersey City."

Recently we have had a cut in employees due to lack of work ethic. To my conclusion this false statement was made in retaliation to myself. We have been in business for many years and now on January 18th a accusation like this is made?

It all makes sence to me, but customers will not understand. I am writing this to let customers know this article is a childish attempt to make my business look bad. We are aware of who is doing thisand we are going to take legal action. That is all. Questions or comments please call the office and ask for the owner. Thank You.
