I moved to Liberty Mutual because they had a low mileage insurance program. I took the RightTrack safe driver program. They took 5% off for taking the program, and I got another 22% off for a good 3 month safety score. (This is a GPS tracking system that records every move the car makes). But my Insurance went up 29% in the first year. I am retired and drive between 1000 miles to 1500 miles per year. They gave me a lower premium quote in writing showing percentage reductions at first, but when I got the next bill, the payment was increased 29%, more than what I earned with the safety program. I talked to a manager and he gave me a long list of reasons why my premium had to go up a minimum of 29% the first year, non of which made sense.

- So what was this long list of reasons that didn't make sense?
Also, you are talking about a ultra-low mileage policy in terms of premium increases in percentages. What is the actual dollar amount it went up.
