This is a branch office or franchise
of a company based out of Ft, Lauderdale Florida that recruits manpower
off of the internet with the inducement of an "hourly wage" to "network" with
small business owners for them via telephone. Instead its a job dialing
at-random as a cold calling telemarketer and you will be paid on a
needs basis once or twice per month and the amount will be indiscriminate. At one point they may try to turn you into a door knocker and pay you on a rewards basis with no gas card, no mileage reimbursement, no
support materials. They seem to have learned sales and marketing from
listening to Howard Stern broadcasts because they give pep talks like
they belong on Last Comic Standing. I kept expecting paper managers Jesse or Eric to
yell "Ba-Ba-Booey" at the staff. My advice is to avoid contact with these unemployed car salesman
both as a staffer and as a potential customer.

The person posting this complaint has never worked for Liberty Power. Based on the complaint, he/she may have had an association with Minuteman Energy in New York, which is one of many independently-operated channels selling on our behalf. In reviewing the allegations with Minuteman Energy we have learned that they recruit manpower on the internet and these workers are paid an hourly rate plus commission. Employees are paid weekly for their hourly work and commissions are paid based on their agreement with Minuteman Energy. The amount of commission paid is defined in their employment agreement. An employee may work door-to-door if they do not want to sell over the phone.
Liberty Power has an excellent reputation with the Better Business Bureau, as well as the NY Public Service Commisssion. We request that the writer of this posting remove all references to Liberty Power as the facts prove the posting to be false and slanderous.
