I purchased a low mileage 2011 used car on the internet from Lilliston Ford.  The price I paid included dealer paid delivery.  This car was advertised as good as new and my conversations were had about the excellent condition of FJ Cruiser.  I was assured and reassured it was beautiful.  No damage and no dings dents except for the most minor rock chips on the front.  The problem arrouse with the dealer paid shipping.  The dealer low balled the shipping Bid to transport companies and there were no takers.  This low ball tactic lead to a 2 month delay in delivery of the car.

During storage at Lillilston, several items went missing.  Most noteably the custom seat covers valued at $750.  Also, the care received several door dings while being carelessly stored.  The car was paid in full and there was no delay on the part of myself.  Only after I asked for a refund did the dealer choose to pay the additional $500 it would take to actually deliver the car.  When received, I asked the transport driver were the seat covers were and of course he stated there were none.

The transport company had noted the door dings on the car at time of pickup but of course he could not been aware of any items missing.  Again this is Lilliston's contracted transport company.  After contacting the sales agent regarding damage and missing items they immediately blamed the transport company as mishandling the vehicle and of being theifs.  But the damage had been noted by the driver before and I suspect he had no idea that seat covers were included or the inclination to take such an item.

Lilliston at first stated an intention of paying at least in part for some of the issues but just long enough to wait me out or frustrate me.  To date Lilliston has not made any attempts to retreive my missing items or pay for the damage. They claim the transport company is to blame but has not made an insurance claim or request to reimburse myself.  Lilliston has threatened me to "be careful what I say" which is a threat.  Well, Lilliston, the I have an opinion and the right to express it.

My opinion is that Lilliston agents tooks the seat covers, careless dinged the doors, removed other items while they took their sweet time to ship the car all at my expense.  To date the owners are informed and I have received nothing but a threat.
