last year my mom ordered a five year old stud that cyndi connor of lilpoodles.com did not want anymore because he was not producing small enough teacups for her. the first price was fair four hundred for the dog one hundred eighty for shipping. she changed the price twice higher and we told her no sell him to someone else. she called our house day and night saying she wanted us to have him and she was moving and if it were not for a small kennel fee she would give him to us for free. she offered no contract she said she was selling her business and becoming a vet. my mom send her five hundred eighty in all thinking that the dog was paid for. cyndi connor cashed her checks and moved to lewisville texas. she deines this but we called the michigan police in cyrstal falls and they told us. my boyfriend did a serach on his computer by typing in lilpoodles.com and came up with dennis connor, name, no, etc. i have all the documents saved.

the attorney general lou soucey caught up with her. she denied ever doing business with us. he told us not to give her any more money the dog was paid for. she called the house and wanted another one hundred dollars. she set us up to go to the airport where she wanted another one hundred thirty dollars but lou soucey said not to give her any more money because the dog was paid for. my mom was not prepared and lost her dog and her money. cyndi connor yelled and screamed that there was no refund and that she would sue us. she has since resold my mom's dog on her website for a lot of money and calls it adoption. the BBB in ST. Louis she now resides in chicago tried to get her to refund my mom or give her a settlement but she won't. the attorney general lisa madgian tried too. she claims the dog was in truama
from spending the night at the airport but he was already paid for and she wanted more money.

i think she is running a internet based puppymill. she says her site is leg. but her mom is helping her and she sells different breeds of dogs which is a sign of a true puppybroker. my mom lost everything and this has been a very bad experience but i hope cyndi connor will be stopped one day. iam doing everything i can but i am only one person and her fellow breeders are on her side. my mom has suffered the loss of her dog and her money and this woman is dihonest and disreputuable.

Response to Rosemary's Ongoing Slander!

AUTHOR: Cyndi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 24, 2005

Rosemary from MA contacted me about buying a teacup poodle stating that she had a bad business dealing prior to this one. She wanted to be sure the dog would be a teacup so I suggested a full grown poodle so she was guaranteed the dog would be the size she requested. She told me she was a vet tech and loved animals. I fell for it and suggested she purchase a 2 year old stud that I had who weighed 2 pounds. He was not producing for me so I told her I would sell him to her. The price of the dog was quoted to her and NEVER changed. The fees included...purchase price ($400), vet fees for neutering and teeth cleaning ($100), shipping $180) with the total being $680. When I sell a dog that is ready to go, people send me the money right away and I take the dog and ship it within a week of receiving the payment. Rosemary kept telling me "the check is in the mail" and the money would never show up. Over time and I am talking "months!", I would receive a little money for the dog. I really didn't mind because this is a dog I had since he was 8 weeks old and I didn't have a problem keeping him. Rosemary always had some sort of excuse for everything. She was extremely hard to reach on the phone and her mother would always tell me to call after 10 pm at night. Later, after this all took place, they complained that I called too late at night! During this period when Rosemary was trying to pay for the dog, my family moved from the upper peninsula of Michigan to my home town in Pinckneyville, Illinois (southern IL). I kept in contact with Rosemary during this move and she always had a contact number and address for me. Once she had paid $580 she started claiming her dog was paid for in full and I would not send him. I have emails with all of our correspondence of prices and her agreeing to paying the $680. A Cyber Crimes Officer in the state of Texas contacted me. His name was Lou. I faxed Lou all of my documentation and told him that if Rosemary would pay the remainder of her balance, I would gladly send the dog "Teddy" to her. I finally reached Rosemary and she denied knowing Lou or calling any authorities on me! That was hard to believe of course. So there was another lie I caught her in. The $180 for shipping was $100 for the air ticket, $50 for the vet certificate and rabies required by the airlines and $30 for the travel kennel. I finally reached Rosemary and told her I could ship Teddy "collect". This means she would pay for the air ticket when she picked him up in Boston. She agreed to do so and I then made arrangements to ship him the very next day. I made my two hour trip to St. Louis to take Teddy to the airport the next day and when I was filling out paper work for the flight they told me that the ticket prices had went up. Keep in mind it was 6 months prior that I had quoted Rosemary the shipping price and I have no control over the airlines raising their prices. The price was now $130 instead of $100. Before they took Teddy I went out to my car and phoned Rosemary to tell her of this change. She AGREED to pay the extra $30 and said she was getting ready to leave and head to the airport herself. I then continued with my plans and Teddy was shipped from St. Louis airport to Boston airport with a bill of $130 to be paid by Rosemary when she picked him up. I returned home and received a call from the airlines stating that Rosemary was at the airport in Boston stating that the dog was supposed to have been "pre-paid", meaning I was responsible for the $130. I asked them to put her on the phone. I told her, "this is the last straw Rosemary. You either pay the $130 like you agreed to earlier today or the dog will be returned to me and I will have to pay for everything. There are no refunds if you leave the dog at the airport today". Rosemary responded, "I don't have a job and I don't have any money." She then handed the phone back to the airline rep (American Airlines). I asked him to repeat what I had just told Rosemary. The airline rep is my witness and did tell Rosemary that if she left the dog there, she would not receive any of her money back for several reasons. There were no more flights out of Boston to St. Louis that day. They had to call a kennel to pick up the dog and care for him over night. That was my expense. I had to pay for shipping to and from Boston. I had another 4 hour round trip drive to St. Louis (extra gas) and the dog was so traumatized from all of this that I had to take him back to the vet and he was put on medication. This dog only weighed 4 pounds and it doesn't take much for a little one to stress and die. In the end, I spent more than $580 fixing Rosemary's mess and there is no way she is entitled to any money back. She NEVER claimed that any money sent to me was her mothers. Now she claims all sorts of things. I have been receiving harassing and slandering mail at my PO Box in Pinckneyville for over a year now. The Post Master has suggested that we turn her in since I know her name and address. It is a running joke in the office there when I come to pick up my mail. They all get a good laugh out of the mail Rosemary sends. She writes all over the envelope and uses profanity and claims that I am a fraud, a scam, an animal abuser and get this....now she claims I am a child abuser!!!! Her handwriting is very distinctive, looks like a child's writing so I have known since day one that she is sending the mail. My attorney gets all of the mail and all of the print outs of slander she types online. This will all be used against her very soon in court. It is illegal to slander a business. I have been raising and selling Toy Poodles for years. I am a single mother of 3 and very well known and respected in my home town. I know what it is like to struggle and make ends meet. If Rosemary would have been honest and up front with me from the beginning, this could have all been avoided. If you still question my honesty, check around and see if you find any other bad information about my company anywhere. Look at my website www.lilpoodles.com and see how professional and nice it is. Look at my dogs and see how well cared for they are. There is one message board online that Rosemary signed in as a different user and tried to make it look like there were several people who I had ripped off. It is obvious that the messages were all written by her. There are people who responded to her that accused her of doing so as well. If you look this up you can read her statements and see how unstable she makes herself appear! Judge for yourself but if you are an animal lover or not you should know how wrong it is to leave an animal stranded at an airport like this woman did. I warned all the breeders I know to not sell her a dog and they all thanked me. One more thing...I received an email from a veterinarian in a town about 40 miles away warning me that this Rosemary is sending out letters and emails slandering my name and my company. Fortunate for me, the head vet tech knows me personally and contacted me, giving me a copy of the letter. I have nothing to be dishonest about. I have very happy customers who will back me and tell their happy stories. The worst problem I have had next to Rosemary is getting registration papers to people in a timely manner. Thank you for taking the time to read my response and I hope this will come to an end when the authorities contact Rosemary.
