Lincoln Military Housing Using civilians to fill vacancy and abusing power and lying to residents to evict them for absolutely no reason. Camarillo, California

Lincoln Military housing opened up Catalina Heights to civilians based on empty units.  There were several open houses to encourage move-ins. Gift cards were offered for referrals.  Several civilians have moved into the housing, paying an O3 rate for the enlisted units.  We have given up our pets, spent thousands on moves and less than a year later we are being told to move.  We are told we are having to move based on a military wait list.  However, there has been no military wait list ever before and there are plenty of housing units at Mugu and Hueneme.  There are four families on the wait list (and they can't move in for another five months), yet they are kicking out sixteen families.  We have been inspected every six months which the military does not have to do.  We are no suddenly being uprooted from our homes.  This is disrupting family life and the work we do to support the warfighter.  This is costing the civilian families thousands of dollars in relocation expenses, the emotional stress of unexpected moves, the overflow of this stress at work as well as time off.  We understand in the event of a military growth that civilians would need to relocate however, there is no such military growth and the disregard for the civilian family is apparent.
