I came in with my mother in search for this car the sales man Mike Young took us on a test drive. At the time I did not know a thing about cars. On this test drive we loved the car EXCEPT the excessive squeaking and popping. Mike assured us the popping was nothing, just a typical car suspension (we had only driven trucks) and they said they would fix the
squeaks. So they fixed the squeaks and I drove the car home.

On the way home we discovered fourth gear did not work. So I brought it back and you guys put in a used trans-axle (which grinds in third gear!) I was ignorant to not try all the gears but they dont test drive cars???I accepted how the steering wheel was at a 45 degree angle while driving straight assuming it was just the alignment.  3 days go by and
the sunroof stops working and leaking water all over the interior.  Two weeks later the breaks are done for, then i realize the tires are beyond bald. I bring the car  into work put it on the lift, front axle is leaking, throttle body bolt and loose. I contact Linded VW they said to bring it down so i do. You fix the axle and the breaks which I am thankful for. But the sunroof was not touched after you said it was! throttle body bolt is still very loose. They  told my mother that I
abused the car...THAT IS A JOKE! not only did i not but you cant notice that in a month not even 1000 miles later, trying to avoid your mistake selling this car!

Today i put it on the lift at work because the squeak is back! to discover both rear shocks are done for, so they  did a temporary fix the first time.  Along with a blown motor mount! 2 months later I have now been in automotive school nine hours a day and working 30 hours a week in an automotive shop, I have realized their techs are just pathetic. When you
take a car into a shop getting it ready for re sale not one of these issues was noticed?! Yes i know its a Dodge not a VW but its basic things! Now the repair order my mother was just sent is a slap to the face!! THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL thing I have ever seen. You they thought they could get away with all this seeing I am young and knowing any
mother is clueless. But they WILL NOT get away with what you did to my family and I.

I recently contacted them and  Anthony Mennella told me they cant fix it because I did work to it. This angers me greatly when this man is trying to tell me something i did not do!!

"Mike Young took us on a test drive"

"On the way home we discovered fourth gear did not work."

The prospective buyer should take the car for a test drive. Your comment implies the salesman was the driver. If you had been the driver you would have noticed the problem with fourth gear.

"we had only driven trucks"

"i realize the tires are beyond bald"

Trucks have tires too. How could you miss the bald tires for two weeks?

Save yourself some embarrassment and tell your classmates you found the car abandoned in the woods.

And at this point, YOU are probably better qualified to fix the car's issues safely at your job or school, than trusting them to do it, even were they not to charge.

Write it off to experience. You might find yourself having to work for such people, as many dealers and service centers, the whole industry basically, have a loathsome rep for ripping people off.

To quote you, "but they dont test drive cars???" No, they probably don't bother. That's up to the customer, especially those training to be a mechanic themselves.

To quote you, "trying to avoid your mistake selling this car!" It wasn't their mistake. They did it deliberately. It was YOUR mistake buying it, without due diligence.

Nonetheless the point's been made. I for one would not go near this dealership, but they probably will have no shortage of similar careless customers to sell garbage to.
