Lindewood University college is scamming low-income and foster children out of funds from scholarships and loans. saint charles, Missouri

Lindenwoood is ripping off student receiving financial aid and scholarships. The refuse to speak with the students regarding monies owed in refunds to the student. And when pressed by the student verbally and repeatedly they tell student he is a discipline problem and could be expelled. They sent  him to Dean Parisi. I tried calling and speaking with Financial Aid and was told he needed to file a FERPA for privacy reasons which he did on the spot. They wouldnt return or answer my calls after that.

He scheduled a meeting with Dir of Financial Aid and I was on his cell during the meeting for advice support and witness. She was competely unprofessional rude uncooperative to him. When He put  her on the phone with me she would not give me an answer as to where the funds had been applied and what he had received for fall and spring already and what he was still due. She said she didnt with the money so she didnt know and I should ask him. I remahined polite and calm and asked if she either send me or direect me to where the Lindenwood policy and guidelines were to refunding of overpayments on tuition and housing. She freaked out and said she didnt understand what I was asking and that I was speaking to her like she was stupid. Well Director of Financial Aid is her title, right? Where is the Financial Aid for Charles????

She then said she was done talking to us and handed charles the phone. While he was standing there with me on the phone she called the Dean and said Charles was screaming at her in her office and causing a disruption and being uncooperative. I could not believe it or her behavior.

I then proceeded to ask who her boss was and called his office. He told me he would look into the matter and call back, never did. I then contact the Dean of Day admission Dean Parisi about the meeting Charles was directed to goto the next morining for his behavior. I told him I witnessed the entire exchange and even interveined when frustration levels on both sides rose, but was treated just as badly as Charles and that I felt the Director was completely wrong and unprofessional. It was like dealing with a child. He said he was meeting with Charles to answer his questions about his money so I said well he wants you to talk to me anyway that was the point of the meeting. Of course he immediatley said he couldnt speak with me regarding charles's financial which I said he filed a ferpa and he said i have to get a copy and would call me back. NO CALL.

Charles went to the meeting and had me on the phone again. The Dean immediatley started yelling at Charles about his behavior and I immediatley asked Charles to put him on the phone and Dean Parisi refused to talk to me and physically crowded Charles out of his office and said he was done speaking to either of us. He then said your aunt can call my extension. NO ANSWER. I told Charles go to his boss. She wasnt available so he attempted to goto her boss but was intercepted by another Dean. He listened to Charles and sent him to wait while he investigated.  

AN HOUR LATER he asked him in the office and Dean Parisi was also there. They told him to hang up with me while they talked and he refused. They were just trying to intimidate and doubletalk the entire time I asked to be put on speaker but really couldnt hear so finally they had me call the offfice direct and actually answered. They immediatley began telling me what a discipline problem he was and I interuppted and said that is not what I am here to speak to you about besides the fact that your financial aid person is a liar. They still tried to argue but I said tell me where the money is. Its real simple your school recieved 29800 in funding for his education and living expenses and his total tuition and housing is 22400. Where is the balance and what is it being used for? Simple right?

NOPE! Then they finallly explained inthe most roundabout way possible. Oh they credited his student account 5 minutes before I got on the phone 1800.00 out of the goodness of their heart. I said well he is still missing 5000.00. Then the sh....... got deep. He is a ward of the state by the way so he has no other financial support or parental help. I am his aunt and raised him until I couldnt financially afford him and his sister and he lived with his grandmother until she died. I know him well and am aware he can be a handfull but as long as he didnt curse or threaten anyone I dont know why they keep telling him hes a problem.

So basicallly they are hiding 2500 in scholarship funds from 8/12 that should have gone to him but are still pending even though the check is cashed. Now they are saying he has 1800 2500 and the 1400 he recently received for this semester. That leaves the 2500 and 1000 from last semester unaccounted for and they couldnt tell me anything except to say the repay the scholarship they gave him out of his funding which IS ILLEGAL. Also they have students work and X amount of hours per semester for free and if they dont they charge 1100 per semester for that. REALLLY?

So now that im involved i found they cannot pay theie scholarship with his state granted funds so they trying to hold them until he doesnt fullfil the work obligation which is also a scam they have the students work then still charge them money due to improper reporting of hours etc etc. These kids are slave labor and they pay to do it. Plus they rob them of 4600.00 for their fake scholarship!I have spoken to the Missouri Department of Education and am contacting all of his funding providers. If you have or are a student at Lindenwood on financial aid or even paying I would strongly suggest you pay attention and ask quesiton because they are robbing the government and these kids BLIND. Foster kids really what is wrong with you people?
