The is a False list of someone with my name attributing false work history and other information. When I attempt to contact this fictional person LinkedIn requires me to pay a fee.
Furthermore one you create a profile you are not allowed to make modifications without paying a fee.
LinkedIn misleads users by claiming they can join for "free" and list their profile but do not mention that the same customer will not be able to modify/update information without paying an exorbitant fee.
The use your information to create phony profiles attributing untrue information and then do not allow you to:
contact them - try it, you won't get anywhere
remove false listing - no way unless you pay
This is a blatant and illegal rip off.

I have been using LinkedIn since it started.
How do you know there isn't another person in the world with your name?
There are numerous profiles on LinkedIn with my name, yet they are not me, nor are they false. They are other people whose work history, location etc. are different from me.
You can open a free LinkedIn account without paying, but in order to use LinkedIn properly and obtain all the details from another profile you do need to have a paid membership.
A free membership allows you to view a number of details though.
You really should be sure before you start tossing around warnings and complaints. I have never had a problem with LinkedIn, nor have many of the people and corporations who have profiles on it. I have linked with a number of professionals in my field that help me to obtain work and/or leads.
