I went to the post office this morning and found an envelope with no return address and a stamp of "South Africa".  I opened it to find a letter dated 1/13/2014, and a check  inclosed for $4,250.00 from TRENT R. REDFEARN DDS. PC, 4185 E. Wildcat Reserve Pkwy Ste 300, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126-6902, drawn on JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA.

I found it odd that a DDS, "dentist", would be sending me a check!  Well as it is said, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."  It's a sophisticated scam, and I can see where someone who does not know what to look for when getting this type of letter could be taken advantage of.

The emphasis on not acting until speaking with a claims agent; do not disclose banking details (misspelled!), and claiming to want to avoid cases of  misappropriation is the way they mislead you to thinkiing it is a legitmate group, now that's clever.

It's the "processing fee" that is the give away - if you are ever asked to "pay" any money for a "prize" a red flag should go up. Sending a check to help you pay for a processing fee is the bait they hope you will take.

I was so pleased to find this site when I googled the "Links Financial Incorporated." This is  a wonderful way to get the inform the public about such scams; thank you and keep up the great work.
