This realty company was used as our management for a property we own. We are a military family that was sent overseas and had to trust someone else to rent our home. This company lied and said items were fixed that were never fixed. We had a renter that bounced a check and IDC never tried to help recoup this but charged us for the bounced check. We also had another family destroy some of the home and IDC never tried to recoup this either.

We can't do anything being overseas and now stationed elsewhere in the states. They let our home sit empty for several months without advertising and did not let us know about it. We are now trying to get a hold of them to confront them but they will not return our calls. We have been trying for several months now.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Baseless accusations

AUTHOR: M. Linnemann - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 08, 2009

In filing a rebuttal, I am asked to provide specific evidence to clarify the situation. That is not possible given that my accuser has given NO specifics in their allegations that my company 1) didn't pursue bad debts, 2) didn't fix items in the house, and 3) left the house vacant and didn't advertise the property. The litany of charges here would imply that these past clients would have had an EASY case in court and could have sued for all the damages caused. I have no idea who they are so I can't specifically say what happened with their property. But, if they were really dead-on accurate, I'm sure I would have heard more about it than just this libelous entry on this website.

Allow me to explain property management: I don't get paid a dime unless your property is rented to people who pay on time. I don't make a dime on any repairs done to your home, I make a percentage of the monthly rental. It doesn't serve me or my company at all to purposely leave a house vacant or to not advertise. As for bounced checks and tenants that destroy homes, it happens all the time. We file with the county, we put derogatory information on credit reports, and, if the client wants to go to the additional expense, we can pursue people in court. I cannot forcibly take money from people who owe me. Believe me, I wish I could. Life would be a lot easier.

I would welcome these people to actually submit some kind of documentation that proves ANY of these claims.
