I could really use your assistance.  Your friend and client, Lise Winicki is currently living in my apartment in Los Angeles, refuses to pay November rent and refuses to vacate the premises.  She moved in on October 2, 2014 at which time she paid the first month's rent in the amount of $3200 and the Security Deposit in the amount of $3200. When it came time to pay her November rent, she wrote me a bad check and has refused to make good on it for the past 25 days.  She also wrote a bad check to a carpet showroom, Monarch Carpets, owned by a friend of mine. She is living with no furniture in the apartment, had a rental car which is now no where to be seen, says that she bought a new Audi A-3, says that she ordered all new furniture from Knoll, but it has never been delivered.  I served her with a 3-Day Pay Rent or Quit and she totally ignored it.  I have now retained a lawyer and have filed an unlawful detainer against her.  As i read your post, I can help but think you are unaware of the way she operates.  I am out $3200 for the month of November and she has agreed to move on  November 28th.  Her story changes daily, so I'm not holding my breath.  If you have any influence over her behavior or decisions, PLEASE reach out to her and encourage her to move ahead with integrity and sound judgement.  I can now see why she has so much conflict surrounding her and is constantly on the run.  Lise feels as though she can live above the law, unfortunately.
