Based upon my one-time experience with Littleton Coin Company, I would not do business with them again, and I would suggest that others view their catalog ads with caution. Their catalog ad for foreign coins was not just deceptive, it was outright false: "Coins from around the world? Definitely. Duplicates? Perhaps a few". (emphasis supplied). About 35% of the approximately 100 coins/pound were duplicates, with as many as 6 duplicates/coin. Even worse, 80% of each of the five one-pound bags consisted of the identical coins. Since I got $25 off on their introductory offer, it was not worth paying the shipping costs to return these misrepresented coins, but in other circumstances this would have justified an FTC complaint.
