Litton Loan Service took over my mortgage and when doing so, changed the billing address for my home owner's insurance. Instead of the billing being sent directly to me as it has for over 10yrs, Litton had the bill sent to their offices in Texas. As a result, the bill went unpaid and my insurance lapsed. Litton now states because the insurance lapsed I am responsible for lender placed insurance at a cost to me that is almost three times as much as my regular insurance bill.
