The resume builder is advertised as being free. After you "get started" by clicking on the start button it takes you through the process building your resume. When I was finished, I was charged $1.95 to print it. After going through the entire process I decided it was worth two dollars. I had to create an account in order to enter my payment information. After that day I never used that site again. Two weeks later, $39.90 was taken out of my account. I called to see why. The customer service agent said my refund he would cancel my membership and request a refund. Two days later I received an email that said my request was denied. Once again I called customer service. The woman said my refund was denied because I called after my 14 day trial period was up. First, I never needed or wanted a membership/ trial. Second, I never gave consent for my account to be debited $39.90. I was denied a refund for services I never used or wanted. I paid for what I used. When I asked to speak to a manager in charge she hung up the phone. This is a scam and poor customer service. This type of business ruins it for people doing good honest business. Don't be fooled by this one.

We're sorry that you feel that way. Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. However you can download a plain text version of your resume for free. To be able to use all premium futures of the service we offer customers a 14 days access for $1.95 and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 days and that it can be canceled at any time. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings. We are very committed to providing great customer service. We take all feedback very seriously. It will be forwarded to our Marketing team. Please contact us directly if you have any further issues. You can email me at customerservice@livecareer.com or contact us through here, we will be more than glad to address all your concerns.

In the attachments section you will see some screen shots our our page with the auto renewal statement and this is the link of our terms and conditions that are available for the clients before and after the purchase.
