When I joined Living Well Lady Fitness club months ago, I was assured that if I moved out of range of a partcipating gym that I would no longer be held responsible for the charges. Vanessa assured me that as long as I could prove my move that I wouldn't endure any cancellation charges. I began reading the contract and she put it down and said there is no need for that. I tried again to read it but she explained that it was all in there. After a time I took the woman's nice smile and signed my name. Big mistake!

Nearly have a year went by and then I found out that I had to relocate. I went into the gym and was given a form to mail in along with prove of relocation. I learned on that form that I would be charged over 200$ in cancellation fees! I talked to the manager who said she could do nothing for me. I asked her if she could even give me a person to talk to , nope! I sent in my cancellation forms explaining everything and requesting someone call me back. No response. It has been three months.

I put a stop payment on their direct debit but since they have my debit card number they have been successfully pulling it out anyway. To top it all off, this month they took an extra 25$ out. When I called on that they said that it was taken off everyone's account for new equipment!!! After talking to someone from their billing it looks like I will never get that money back.

This is still not solved except to say that I have had to cancel that bank account and expect this to all go to collections as I can't speak to anyone from the company with authority to do anything. Stay away from this gym. They will take your money anyway they can, even lie!

The club has a strict policy of communication and not only on their contract but on the website with the members.

The contract states you are required to either pay $50 fee OR 20% of the balance if you live more than 25 miles from your location and if one is not near by. Clearly that is why you are stating what you did.

As far as your $25, try late fees & NSF fees.

Aside of your response you can always contact another location if yours is not responding and get to an owner as they are ALWAYS walking in and out of their club. As an member for yours Im sure you know that!
