I applied for a short term, payday loan with a company called VIP Loan Shop. I received it and paid it back promptly. I only applied with one company. However, the day after the loan was paid back, there were small penny withdrawals of 01 cent, 03 cent and 01 cent, etc., daily which culminated with a 30.00 dollar withdrawal by a company called LoanAppFee and their phone number.

I called the phone number and was informed the withdrawal was for the loan I applied and was approved for. I informed the representative that I had not applied for a loan with them. The representative began to overtalk me and try to sell me the loan, I was "approved" for.

I demanded to know where they obtained my account information from and they insisted, they didn't know where it came from, but I must have applied on an open website that was accessible to everyone and therefore I would get more than one offer.

I was informed by the VIP Loan Shop that while they don't sell information and it isn't right, however, it does happen that other companies can see and obtain your information--So much for the secure website they promote. They insisted the same possibility exist, if you apply with Bank of America or any other financial institution.

Payday loan companies do not care about you or securing your information.
