My car was repoed a month ago. I’ve been homeless since 2/2019. I’ve been in touch with them via email since 6/11. Nobody responded. I’ve called in 7/2 to check the status and just learned my vehicle was sold on 6/25!

Never did I get a call or email stating this would happen! They’re quick to harass you about your late payments, but not quick enough to harass you that your vehicle is about to be sold! Taking advantage on people whom are in desperate need!!

Once they repossesed the car....

AUTHOR: John - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, July 05, 2019

...it belonged to them.  You stopped making payments on it.  You broke the contract.  All the times you were "in touch" with them didn't do a thing to fulfill your contract.  It was none of your business that they sold THEIR car.   It no longer belonged to you.

BTW, I wish you all the best of luck with your personal issues, but that's what they are- your personal issues.  And not the responsibility of any lender.

Very Typical Serial Deadbeat Mentality

AUTHOR: The Dog - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 03, 2019

They took advantage of you??? Hey Deadbeat, it was YOU who agreed to make on time payments! It was YOU who failed to do that and YOU who was driving a car YOU didn't pay for! They did a repo because YOU caused it. (Now's the time to write back: "You must work for them."

Confused

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 02, 2019

Why is this THEIR responsibility? You said you have been in touch with them since 6/11 via e-mail and they never responded. So if this is your car, why would you wait until 7/2 to actually CALL them? Since you say they should have called you, that means you had a phone and could have called them.

But if you did call them before it was sold, what would be the purpose? Was it to acutally pay off what you owed, or was it to ask for more time? If it was to pay off what you owe, then again why didn't you make more of an effort to call them? If you were just going to call to ask for more time, the fact that they reposessed the car probably should tell you all you need to know about how much more time they were willing to give you.
