Lobe Beal & Nixon Asking For Summary Judegment In Creek County Oklahoma City Oklahoma

Love Beal & Nixon served my 26 year old daugther with summons, which I responded to and ask for a debt avlidation. Now they are asking for a Summary Judgement which I have a court date set for. I spoke to two laywers concerning this debt which was for a old Capital One Credit Card that was closed in 2005. When I asked in a certified letter for this they sent old Capital One Statements. Now on the summary judgement they say I never responded which I did not know I was supppsoed to do. The lawyers I have been speaking to suggested responding to the summons and then go to court and plead for an extension and time to prepare and hope the judge will grant this. The credit card was for 500.00 and now they want 1800.00 if they get the judegement against me. I saw on other web sites to not contact them, but I am scared if they get a judgement against me then they will try and garnish my wages and the lawyers are saying I messed up when I did nothing so they do not want to handle. If I contact Love Beal & Nixon for a payment plan then they win. If I go to court and ask for a extension without a lawyer, the judge could side with them and they still win the judgement. LBN said take a payment plan but then they will still seek the judgement. Or they will stop the judgement if I pay them 1250.00 by September 5th. They have not sent me anything in writing which a lawyer says I need to ask the judge to dismiss based on not informing the court of the settlement offer that I am asking for so I can take to court via a lawyers advice and ask the judge to grant an extension based on the settlement or a dismissal. Is there anything else I can do before I call them and admit to the debt?
