Local Verification Phone stalking, repeated harassment Cedar City, Utah Internet

First of all -- can I get you to edit your report so that you don't repeat whole sections of it?  It would do a lot for your credibility, which as far as I can tell is all you have to sell here.

I just now did take a call from "Local Verification," said by the caller to be in Cedar City, Utah.  Of course, as soon as I asked that he verify that I had just requested not to be called again, he went on to ask a question instead.  Typical, I have found, of evasive callers.  Instead of answering a straight question, they go on to the next matter they wish to talk to you about.  In this case, the caller wished to tell me that if my number was registered to a business (whatever it means to be "registered"), I couldn't get on a do-not-call list, which as far as I can tell is completely unverified b.s.

He also informed me that it would do no good to do this, because several companies would be calling me.  I'll deal with them separately.  Let's just say, I am no longer taking ANY of these or similar calls and will be a tough cookie to deal with every single time.

Any ideas for revenge here?  Because they obviously won't stop unless it costs them something to do this.  Perhaps giving them false e-mail addresses, twitter accounts, credit card numbers and so on?  At least it might take up as much of their time as they waste of ours.

In a nutshell, these companies pretend to "update your Google listing" -- as if I have a working one to begin with.  My business is defunct anyway.

So I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore, and I don't really care to read the comment purporting to be from the company's "attorney."  Seriously, they have an attorney?  For what?  To defend against . . . nothing at all?

Come on.  Get a real job.
